Providing leadership and strategic direction to the wireless and telecommunications teams to enable the highest level of availability to these critical emergency communications systems. The E-Comm radio system serves the Police, Fire and Ambulance services in the lower mainland of Britisih Columbia, providing our client agencies with the communication tools to save lives and protect property. The telecommunications team supports the technology that provides 911 call answer services to 99% of the population of British Comumbia. This support extends to BC Emergency Health Services, Health Link BC and several other client agencies who rely on the telecoms platform supplied by E-Comm. In addition to ensuring that my teams have the resources they need to succeed. Building for the future is critical as we face increasing demand on emergency services and I am working closely with external agencies to plan for the future of emergency communications. E-Comm is in partnership with the Province of BC, BC Hydro, PowerTech Labs, Simon Fraser University, and Emergency Management BC to build a demonstration system for Public Safety Broadband in the lower mainland. As E-Comm is a not-for-profit organization, financial planning is key to our ongoing ability to provide services and my role works closely with all aspects of E-Comm to ensure that we are investing in areas that support our ongoing vision and strategic plan

Responsible and accountable for the vendor contract with Motorola Solutions for the supply and implementation of an ASTRO P25 overlay Land Mobile Radio network in the Metro Vancouver area. The success of the project (on-time, under budget and with enhanced functionality) was due in large part to the development of a strong professional working relationship with Motorola and rigorous attention and management of changes to the project. Additional projects supporting the new radio network included a major building renovation of electrical, and HVAC systems for our main facility in Vancouver; the addition of a new state of the art server room; and set up and successful negotiation and acquisition of a secure alternate data center to support the geo-redundant requirements of the radio network as well as other aspects of E-Comm's business.
