The Texas CISO Council is a regional steering committee composed of security leaders from private industry and the public sector. The Council's mission is to facilitate collaboration between organizations for the purpose of advancing security initiatives both internal and shared.Coordinate efforts of over 20 security leaders to build shared work product. Responsible for defining and communicating the Council's vision to prospective partners. Work with academic and advisory partners to create a secure collaboration platform.• Initiated the discussions that led to the founding of the Council.• Organized the formation of the Council including a regional CISO forum.• Established the foundation for the ongoing business and leadership of the council including the forum for decision support, project initiatives and varied participation levels.• Evangelize the concept to help create additional regional council groups

The Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center (R-CISC) is organized to provide retail industry collaboration to share intelligence on cyber threats, vulnerabilities, mitigation, and remediation. The R-CISC is founded by retailers for retailers and membership is open to retailers of all sizes. The R-CISC provides sector-specific insight into detailed threats and vulnerabilities along with analysis of attacks on the retail sector.The R-CISC has three main components: * Sharing: Bring retailers together for omnidirectional sharing of actionable cyber threat intelligence, functioning as a conduit for retailers to receive threat information from government, intelligence, industry, and other stakeholder sources. * Education and Training: Learning programs to empower intelligence and information security professionals in retail and related industries. * Research: Focus on the future with partnerships in academia, thought leaders, and subject matter experts to develop data-driven projects in retail cyber and data threats, both now and in the future.The Executive Director leads the R-CISC and is accountable for developing, maintaining and executing strategies for building and sustaining an efficient and effective resource for retailers in their cybersecurity efforts. The R-CISC Executive Director actively engages private sector stakeholders and government agencies to facilitate information sharing and strengthen the retail industry's capability and capacity to detect, prevent, respond to, and mitigate computerized attacks on retail networks, point of sale systems, mobile devices, payment systems, and associated infrastructure that store sensitive information, specifically consumer credit information.
