Collaborating with Student Leads from the Universidad de San Francisco de Quito, we are jointly orchestrating the logistical aspects of the 2024 Proyecto Huela Educativa - The Quito Project camp. This encompasses financial, administrative, and operational duties, in addition to meticulously coordinating safety and travel arrangements for the University of Michigan tutors.

I held the position of Director of Community Engagement and Outreach, overseeing the organization's social media activities, recruitment activities, etc. This role involved establishing valuable partnerships with entities advocating for global health equity, curating social media content, and orchestrating workshops and events to attract new members. Throughout my tenure, I observed a surge in membership applications. Noteworthy achievements include conceptualizing and executing our inaugural gala event. This gathering commemorated the organization's two decades of impactful service, honoring its founding medical alumni from the University of Michigan Medical School and solidifying our footprint within the campus community.

In collaboration with La Universidad De San Francisco De Quito and La Fundación Cáritas la Primavera, The Quito Project organizes and executes a summer health/ education camp for children without adequate access to education of a more meritable quality. All the organizations work endeavors to minimize the achievement gap for such students from low-opportunity backgrounds and communities. I traveled the summer of 2023 as a tutor and worked with the 8-9 year olds!

I participated as the Participant Liaison for the ALMA 2024 programming led by the Office of Multi-Ethnic Students Affairs (MESA). ALMA is a four-day welcome program for first-year and new transfer undergraduate Latinx students and students with an interest in Latinx identity and culture, which is coordinated by La Casa, UM's Latinx umbrella organization, and sponsored by the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA). ALMA aims to holistically support and empower participants while providing an introduction to U-M’s Latinx community and resources. Participants build a community with other incoming students, returning students, faculty, and staff.

Friends of Guatemala is dedicated to aiding the education of indigenous students in Guatemala by providing virtual tutoring and financial assistance to Mayan schools. Established in 2023, our organization strives to mitigate the impacts of systemic poverty and discrimination against indigenous communities, which often result in limited educational access for young indigenous individuals. By empowering historically marginalized learners in Guatemala, we aim to enhance the overall quality of life within communities.

DUEMODA is a high-end fashion magazine that aims to increase international fashion at the University of Michigan through photoshoots, articles, and events worldwide. I served as a writer on the editor-in-chief team, crafting pieces for the magazine.

Xylem Literary Magazine is an independent, student-run literary magazine at the University of Michigan that annually publishes original undergraduate student writing and art, including poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, artwork and photography. I serve as the Events Chair on the Editorial Board.

Research Assistant at Castro-Lowenstein Lab, a University of Michigan Medical School Neurosurgery Lab that specializes in endeavoring to discover therapeutic approaches to treating glioblastomas. Including research efforts on DNA repair pathways, the epigenetic regulation of cancer progression, uncovering the role of oncometabolites in the brain tumor microenvironment and in mediating the response to immunotherapies. As a research assistant I: *Tracked and analyzed migration patterns of oncostreams in a novel in vitro platform.*Cultured glioma cells on laminin and poly-D-lysine coated surfaces. *Conducted confocal time-lapse microscopy to capture cellular dynamics over 2-3 days. *Imaged using ImageJ’s Trackmate software to track cellular trajectories.*Presented findings at the Spring Research Symposium

The Summer Bridge Scholars Program (SBSP) is a 7-week academic initiative designed to address the disparities in educational opportunities. I took part in this program before starting my freshman year, which helped me establish a feeling of inclusion and self-assurance in maneuvering through the U-M community.
