Veteran public affairs and crisis communications consultant. I help my clients find positive outcomes when the odds are stacked against them. It's all about exercising common sense at lightning speed. My team and I are involved in all aspects of managing the crisis and fixing the problems that led up to it. In addition, we perform candid assessments inside organizations so leadership is prepared for what's next. My company focuses on crisis management and strategic communications for local governments and multinational companies. From A-Z (active shooters to coronavirus to zika), my team and I have lived through it all. We use all available platforms and methods to reach target audiences with important factual information. We also handle special management projects upon request. Prior to my life in crisis management and government affairs, I worked as both an investigative journalist and news executive. I was based in Miami for most of my career in news, making a brief stop off in Latin America to run English language news operations for RCN, one of. Colombia's largest private media groups. In addition to my years in local TV in Miami and New York City, I've also served as a correspondent for national broadcast & cable networks, reporting from all over the world.

Investigative Reporter / Anchor (Wfor-Tv)Cbs Corporation Oct 2012 - Jan 2015New York, Ny, UsI got to wear many hats during my time with CBS Miami. The last contract there was my second tour-of-duty at the station. They had me delivering what are called "promotable" special projects for the station's revamped 11pm newscast. I was also the weekend anchor, fill-in anchor in every time slot, crime reporter, legal reporter, federal law enforcement reporter, live truck jokester, fashion magnate, and cuban coffee go-getter. The New Times of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach named me "Best Local TV News Reporter" for 2013. At CBS Miami, I helped developed "The Fugitive Task Force," an alliance with the US Marshals Service, to profile and arrest wanted federal fugitives. Our stories helped bring in more than a half dozen fugitives during it's first 6 months on air. I also went to the remote pacific coast of Colombia for a special report on "drug subs." My "How dirty is it?" franchise delivered the ratings for the station in every sweeps period! We teamed up with microbiologists to check surfaces in public areas for disgusting filth and bacteria. I explored the problem of aggressive African Pythons eating household pets in Kendall, profiled Air Rescue crews from the Broward Sheriff's Office, watched the wind become power thru high-tech turbines installed on Fort Lauderdale Beach, found owls living on the runway at MIA, and took at ride in the Goodyear Blimp. All that, and your standard local news fare of shootings, police chases, and cars in canals. -
News DirectorRcn International Jul 2008 - May 2013Nuew York, New York, UsI launched and managed Colombia's first-ever English language network news. As "Director de Noticias en Ingles," I managed daily operations, including hiring & firing, budget, content, distribution and advertising. I also served as main anchor of Ardila-Lule's English language content on RCN, TV Colombia, and NTN24. During my time in Bogota, I got to visit just about every major city in Latin America, producing stories and online content. I went to Haiti with the Colombian Air Force after the massive earthquake, watched volcanos erupt along the border with Ecuador, learned to dance the "Mapale" with Tota la Momposina, went deep into the earth to see the Cathedral of Salt, and had a chance to light a candle for my grandmother at the spectacular Cathedral of Las Lajas near Ipiales. -
Anchor/Reporter (Wfor-Tv)Cbs Corporation Nov 2004 - Dec 2007New York, Ny, UsMy first day on the job at CBS4, the GM and ND put me on a plane to Tel Aviv so I could cover the death of Yasser Arafat. A few weeks later, they had me flying to Pukett, Thailand to cover the Asian Tsunami. After that, it was rather difficult to try to get excited about police shootings and school board meetings. During this stint at CBS4, I was best known for major breaking news coverage and my stories on law enforcement. I was also in the courtroom every day at the Michael Jackson Trial in Santa Maria and got to hide behind a mail box as the highest winds were blowing through New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. When I came back, I became part of the CBS4 Award Winning "I-Team" and served as fill-in anchor on all shows. This was the end of the golden era of local news when stations sent crews all over the nation and the world to cover stories. CBS paid for a lot of stamps in my passport and allowed me to go places I would have never visited on my own. -
National Correspondent (Newspath)Cbs Corporation May 2004 - Nov 2004New York, Ny, UsServed out my non-compete as a national correspondent for the CBS Affiliate service, based in Miami. I covered stories from coast to coast - and achieved Executive Platinum Status on American Airlines in just 6 months. Sent to cover great stories like the Scott Peterson Trial and last eruption of Mount Saint Helens in Washington. -

They also sent me to a survival school to learn how to make it out of a plane crash in the ocean. I started as a General Assignment reporter, climbing my way to Weekend Anchor with the lovely Beatriz Canals, and a regular fill-in anchor on all other shows. I'm honored to have been part of the "7News Night Team" during what was the hey day of South Florida TV News. -
