The mission and ethics of an organization are the most important factors used to determine my career decisions. To be sure money, equity, benefits, title etc come in at second/third/fourth and so on. But when forced to consider my greatest accomplishments, above any presidents club or paycheck, the one that stands out to me is that each and every one of the organizations listed on my resume stands the test of time. They have built (and, for the most part, continue to build) products and services that help make the world a better place by offering solutions to hard problems. To this day, I am proud to be associated with each one. In the last 7+ years working in a leadership positions I've learned not only how to embrace change, but in many cases how to thrive on it. When you believe in a product or common cause, you can see change as an opportunity for those who adapt the quickest. I believe this philosophy over the last decade (along with a strong work ethic instilled by my Mother) has factored into my success both in direct sales and managing high growth teams at MINDBODY, SalesLoft and Flock Safety. Worth noting, in each of these incredible organizations I've always started on the front lines as a rep and moved into management. Selling and learning directly from customers has proven to be the best way for me to learn how to build sales teams.
