As Director of Education and Community Outreach, I provide a global network to the NCM a Vice President Education & Principal Historian at the Automotive Hall of Fame. I brought worldwide experience in program management & creative services, marketing, managing staffs and studios. My work has taken me across the globe to clients in India ,Europe, Korea, Japan, China and North America.I have decades of forming programs and training future designers at half a dozen schools in the U.S. and Asia. 25 years at GM Design provided experience in; management, branding, teaching & speaking on design of the past and future. I worked for decades as an award winning designer of concept and production vehicles in Europe and the U,S. Growing up in indianapolis a motorsports enthusiast I worked on a top 10 IndyCar team. I've served as an expert wittness in several international cases.Brian’s recent work includes; leading the creation and recruiting fellow professional to form a professional design careers program for"at risk" high school students, designing million-dollar luxury motorcoaches, Pepsi consumer experience vehicles, and Limousine Designs for Mercedes Benz. He is a frequent speaker at design related symposiums, including IDSA regional events and presentations in India, the UK, Korea, & across North America. For three decades, Brian has been an educator of young designers at universities and colleges. He teaches at Detroit’s College for Creative Studies, Lawrence Technical University, Wayne State, and the Cleveland Institute of Art. Mr. Baker co-hosts professional designers from Asian automakers for a tour of automobile culture and design across the U.S. Specialties: Museum Design Development including Visual Branding, Historic Automotive Research, Creative team motivation speaker. Dec 2007 - May 2022Recently, Brian’s consulting work has included design studies on millennials and the future of transportation for Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Design, & the University of Michigan.He conceived the award winning book, “Driving Style; GM Design’s first 100 years”. Brian’s work in television includes Discovery Channel’s “Future Car” and History Channel’s Top Gear” (US). Brian is a member of the Society of Automotive Historians, an honors graduate of The Art Center College of Design in California, and a U.S design patent holder.Marketing and designs for an Indy 500 top-ten competitor in his hometown of Indianapolis was a life fulfilling accomplishment. He lives in Beverly Hills, Michigan with his family and enjoys his vintage Buick, motorsports, and anything with a wheel!

Under my leadership we renovated and created new studio space. Created a new "look and feel" for all Marketing materials and our new website. Created events like reintroduceding them to the North American International Auto Show and the global OEM Design community. ASC was a great challenge and I'm proud of the work we accomplished in my time there. Luxury Motorhomes, Event Trailers and Limousine up-fits for the world's premium automakers. We restored much of the pride that was ASC's strength. A great experience and a great company!
