Responsible for all aspects of Engineering performance and workforce development for a organization of approximately 700 engineers engaged in the development of inertial navigational sensors and avionics for space and defense applications. Report directly to the Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems (NGES) Western Region Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing. Direct reports included 10 Functional and Product Line Engineering Directors.Accomplishments include:• Significantly improved Engineering programmatic execution through process discipline and metrics• Development and introduction of production transition and product producibility processes• Comprehensive upgrade of organizational leadership throughout Engineering• Hired over 200 new engineers (within 16 months) and assimilated through active Knowledge Management practices• Achievement of CMMI Level 3 certification• Created a highly functional Engineering Corrective Action Board (CAB) process • Introduced new manufacturing methods incorporating predictive intelligence for highly complex interactive assemblies• Upgraded Electrical Engineering design capabilities with focus on design automation and obsolescence management• Achieved broad improvements in Requirements Flow Down and Management practices• Introduced a standardized Product Line Engineering Review process to measure and correct programmatic performance through common metrics and solutions
