In 2011 I joined the Grand Hotel Excelsior as Head of Sales and Marketing. I introduced new pricing and revenue management strategies that helped the property achieve substantial growth in both revenue and room nights. Participated in the Airline Network Group Task Force, set up to review the schedule and charter route networks.A member of the Business Selection Group that presented strategic recommendations to the airline’s Board of Directors for the implementation of a new Reservation and Departure Control System.Responsible for the launch of Air Malta’s new interactive web site, including Online booking. Launched and actively managing Air Malta’s Frequent Flyer Programme Flypass, establishing it as the leading Loyalty Programme in Malta. New initiatives are underway with leading organisations to strengthen further the programme and introduce new concepts in the market.Introduced Customer Relationship Management within Air Malta, transforming the Programme into a One-Stop Shop experience for the airline’s frequent flyers. In 2002 developed the Corporate Section within the Flypass Unit, and today it serves leading organisations doing business in Malta. The Corporate section offers dedicated reservation and ticketing services. In Q4 2004, Flypass will launch KManager, the airline’s Corporate Frequent Flyer Programme, making Air Malta the third European Airline to offer this unique service. This programme will run in parallel to the Flypass Programme.Migrated the airline’s Frequent Flyer Programme to a state-of-the art I.T. system – Sabre Traverse FFP system. The airline was the launch customer worldwide of this ASP system model. This system migration made it possible for Air Malta to offer online services to its members. Coordinated Air Malta’s sales and marketing efforts within France, Belgium, Holland and Switzerland. Responsible for the seasonal capacity planning andsales forecasting.
