Managed overall operations at 6 US contract manufacturing plants in addition to primary manufacturing responsibility for Bayer-Advanced retail products. Major accomplishments include:• Directed manufacturing start-ups of 20 new products in 8 months, in one of the largest retail launches in Bayer Corporation history, contributing $40 million to product sales annually.• Drove optimization and cost reduction measures to double cost reduction target. • Developed manufacturing budget for US contract formulation organization.• Negotiated toll manufacturing contracts and rates for the Bayer Advanced product line.

Responsible for contract-manufacturing operations at 10 plants with a budget in excess of $60 million in addition to commercialization coordination for all North American products. Responsibilities include site selection; contract preparation; auditing to ensure standards in health, safety, and environmental requirements; and technical support. Major accomplishments include:• Managed and expanded a $10 million toll operation to more than $60 million in two years.• Completed Six Sigma quality training and successfully implemented procedures and process improvements to realize cost improvements of $250,000.• Spearheaded SAP implementation of MRPII Practices for entire Contract Formulation business.• Developed and implemented toll manufacturer audit criteria to select manufacturers and maintain standards in accordance with health, safety, environmental and product stewardship practices and guidelines.
