For over 40 years, I have had the privilege of helping industry to navigate and meet the requirements of the regulatory process with a strong focus on environmental issues and stakeholder engagement. My current role as an owner and VP Corporate Development at IEPSCanada is the next natural step in that career. IEPS is developing Alberta's first commercial supplier of green H2 for customers intertest in reducing their own carbon footprint while meeting new market demands. Since forming Bietz Resources Ltd. in the spring of 2003, I have had the privilege of providing professional advice to a wide range of resource companies, including coal mining, electrical power generation, mineable oil sands, in situ and conventional oil & gas and pipelines, helping them to enhance their competitive position.My goals are to help my clients move through the approval process in a seamless, timely and cost-effective manner and post approval to help them avoid compliance issues and/or address these as they arise. I bring to this task 13 years of experience as a Board Member with Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB), 5 years as Chair of the Alberta Natural Resources Conservation Board (NRCB) and 17 plus years consulting on the social and environmental issues associated with of resource development across a broad spectrum of industry.
