Brian is a long-range mine planner with extensive design experience and has worked over 25 years in the mining resources and IT industries in North America and Australia. He currently focuses his skills in mine engineering as a senior mine planner for Teck Resource’s Elkview Operations in open pit design, long range planning, life of mine resource estimates, and economic strategies for their metallurgical and thermal coal operations. In 2014/15, Mr. Bisset spearheaded the use of UAVs for the creation of survey-grade digital surfaces for design planning, mine operations and project management.An avid industrial and landscape photographer, many of the images Teck uses for its marketing, corporate presentations and websites were provided by Brian.
