• Delivered onsite support to US Government Joint Project Manager for protection serving as Project Manager. • Primary responsibilities include; executing, managing, and directing a Contamination Mitigation Demonstration, taking place at Dugway Proving Grounds. Objective of Demo was to provide Joint Force participants the opportunity to assess current individual, sensitive equipment, and mobility decontamination equipment against the 'realm of the possible' with respect to new equipment, concepts, and approaches.

Mr. Blackstone has over 17 years career experience conducting scientific research and project management, between his time at Battelle’s Environmental Restoration Department and Battelle’s Hazardous Materials Research Center (HMRC). While with Battelle’s Environmental Restoration Department, his primary focus was managing US Environmental Protection Agency projects associated with designing, installing, and operating contaminated-groundwater/soil remediation systems for treatment of petroleum, solvent and organic contaminants. In addition, Mr. Blackstone has both technical and program/project management experience associated with Environmental Site Assessments, to include the removal of dozens of Underground Storage Tanks. Mr. Blackstone’s most recent role while with Battelle, was as a Project Manager (PM) for Research and Development, and Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) programs involving chemical agents and other materials of high toxicity at the HMRC. Mr. Blackstone has over 11 years of experience in executing/managing/directing chemical defense operations to include; method development/validation/implementation related to demilitarization of chemical/biological agents, and decontamination-equipment design/testing/evaluation.
