  At KPMG I aid in supporting the audit function of the insurance, asset management, and enterprise practices under US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards within the financial risk management department. The actuarial practice areas center around general insurance, pensions, and life insurance. Responsibilities include:- reviewing actuarial reports, were we evaluate the methodologies, assumptions, and reserves of captive insurance companies.- performing actuarial valuations, generally centered around the funding of pension schemes of our enterprise clients.- performing value at risk calculations- performing checks on life settlement fund values - Assisting in training of junior actuarial staff as well as supporting the understanding of actuarial concepts of our audit colleagues
