As a former United States Army Officer (17 Years total service) and a veteran of multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I led combat arms units before completing my Military career as the Assistant Technical Director within the Army’s Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). The Army gave me the skills and experience to lead people and manage complex operations. It also gave me a first person understanding of what Soldiers need on the front lines to effectively perform their jobs. While at ERDC I assisted Scientists and Program Managers with the rapid acquisition and operationalization of multiple emerging technologies that were fielded to fighting forces in Afghanistan. As both an end-user and developer, I saw an opportunity to enhance the rapid technology acquisition process. From this came my first company, Asymmetric Technologies: a company that builds boutique Hardware, Software, and Firmware solutions for Government and Defense applications. From there I started Asymmetric Unmanned a company focused on delivering decision quality data to utilities and operators of industrial assets.We expanded our services to utilities and underground asset owners with Terra Sound, a Fiber Optic Sensing company ( or sometimes referred to as DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing).Most recently I Co-Founded Heartland Charging Services, a company that plans, provides, and maintains EV Charging infrastructure in the Midwest. I am currently serving as Heartland's COO and spending the majority of my time helping regional businesses join the EV Charging era in a smooth and efficient way.
