My role was to help students with their startups. Ranging from concept to business models to prototyping to launching into sales. My job is to help them structure their ideas into a solid business and launch it. In addition to that, I connect them to all the resources in our entrepreneurial ecosystem. My secondary role was to work with students with little to no technical knowledge that wanted to start a tech startup and bring on a developer or two. I worked with them to understand the technical concepts of their ideas or products and what resources they needed and how to go about getting them.

The Darkhorse Training Platform can do two things. First, we can create an environment within the room or building that is reactive to the actions and decisions, in real time, of those navigating it. Second, it takes those actions and decisions and quantifies them into behavioral data sets for future analysis and bench-marking. With current police training it can either be done in a physical environment for the realism or simulated for analytics. But never at the same time, until now. The Darkhorse Platform is the only training system available that couples the physicality of reality based training with the analytics of simulated training at the same time. The Darkhorse Platform allows full collaboration of curriculum among departments, analytics from actual physical situations and has the highest throughput of officers at one time for simulated training.Police training is done two separate ways--through reality based role play training in an actual building or through simulation assessment in front of a video screen. Police must choose between experiential training or digital analytical training. This creates a win-lose situation as they can only train with one at any given point in time. Because both have to be done separately training must be done twice, making training expensive and inefficient. What sets us apart is that we combine the best of both training systems into one platform allowing police to have the experiential training without the sacrifice of digital analytics. Police can train in a physical environment for the experience while pulling all the analytical data they need at the exact same time.
