I am a lifelong learner and a passionate creator. During my seven years of active-duty service in the United States Air Force, I had the opportunity to attend the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center to learn Persian Farsi. Upon graduating from there I headed to Fort Meade, to work with and learn from some of the best and brightest minds the Intelligence Community has to offer. I also served as a language mentor for my peers at Fort Meade, hosting monthly sessions to assist with language retention and acquisition skills. My passion for technology has always existed, and thanks to the Air Force and the education benefits they offer, I’ve been able to nurture that passion by pursuing a degree in Data Science. In addition to excelling in calculus- and statistics-based courses, I have gained hands-on experience in creating and implementing both supervised and unsupervised machine learning models on a variety of datasets. Now, I am fortunate enough to be participating in another amazing learning opportunity: Microsoft’s Software and Systems Academy (MSSA). This 17-week course is designed to provide transitioning servicemembers hands-on IT training by leveraging industry mentoring and real-world project experience utilizing the .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, T-SQL and much more. I look forward to applying the training I have received through MSSA to an exciting career in cloud application development.In my free time, I enjoy oil painting, video gaming with my wife and friends, developing my own programs and games, and golfing (badly).
