Credit Risk Executive
CurrentFirstBank, headquartered in Nashville, has 81 full-service bank branches across Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia, and a national mortgage business with offices across the Southeast. The bank currently has $13 billion in total assets.Responsible for the credit risk function for the Bank. This governance includes overseeing the FirstBank credit policy ensuring coverage of all business lines with credit risk, aggregating the reporting of credit risk from all business lines and monitoring credit risk to ensure compliance with established policy, risk limits, laws and regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Manage enterprise-wide credit policy, credit analytics and reporting, special assets, and appraisal risk management functions.• Act a chairperson of the Corporate Credit Risk Committee. • Monitor the risk in enterprise credit portfolio through periodic reviews of underlying data as well as assessing the impact of emerging risks on the portfolio.• Exercise oversight over the adequacy of risk ratings, regulatory compliance, and credit policy conformance.• Establish and analyze financial metrics of the Bank’s loan portfolio for adherence to regulatory guidelines and analyze credit portfolios to pinpoint potential areas of weakness or concentrations that produce more than acceptable risk.• Provide input and assistance in decision-making on issues affecting the Bank’s credit portfolio.• Provide adequate oversight to direct reports to assure that they perform their duties in accordance with Bank requirements and that they meet all audit, compliance, risk management and regulatory requirements, mandates and directives to operate in a safe and sound manner.
