From catastrophic brain injury to cancer, regardless of the allegation he is defending, Brian is a tenacious litigator, known for his keen ability to cross examine witnesses and distill complex factual and legal issues into straightforward narratives for judges and jurors.He has represented many of the nation’s most prominent companies and has defended a wide range of products, including hernia mesh, transvaginal mesh, stress urinary incontinence slings, breast implants, helmets, planes, trains, tires, and industrial equipment. Brian handles high stakes litigation in MDLs, consolidated and coordinated proceedings, class actions, and single plaintiff actions. In addition to product liability litigation, Brian also litigates False Claims Act cases and commercial disputes.Brian has been a key attorney on three bellwether mass tort trial teams in the nation’s third largest MDL, comprised of over 17,000 cases, and drafted several winning dispositive motions. He has considerable experience in all aspects of litigation, being the primary attorney on scores of key depositions, drafting and arguing motions, crafting cross and direct trial examination outlines of expert witnesses, preparing mock trial presentations, propounding and responding to discovery, and formulating trial strategy. Brian also routinely publishes and speaks at conferences on issues related to products liability, medical device litigation, and pharmaceutical litigation.
