Brian has rich experience in business advising, international cooperation, academic editorship, and administrative management. He has lectured widely on the circular economy and sustainability issues in Taiwan, Japan, China, and South Korea, and greatly enjoys his association with the East Asian region. Brian is one of the leading circular economy scholars and has recently developed a new business product called Circular Steps 1.0-3.0 to help companies operate circular and sustainable businesses. In 2020, Brian published a paper entitled "Sustainable Growth: A Circular Economy Perspective.” In this paper, he introduced an innovative analytical approach referred to as Circular Economy National Income Accounting (CENIA). Within the CENIA framework, the total output measured within a given time period can be referred to as circular GDP, and provides an institutional appraisal of a country's regenerative capacity for sustainable development. From Oct. 2022 to March 2023, Brian was invited by the Governor of the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB), Dr. György Matolcsy, to visit BC4LS, one of the major research tanks in Hungary, to conduct cutting-edge circular economy research, deliver lectures at major universities, and participate in various seminars or conferences related to the issues of sustainability.
