Work in the NAVFAC MIDLANT Fire Protection Department. Perform review of all construction projects along the North and Mid Atlantic for fire protection and life safety in accordance with the applicable NFPA and UFC criteria. Perform site inspections and final acceptance testing for new and existing construction.

Alternate member on Technical Correlating Committee on Automatic Sprinkler Systems (NFPA 13).

Perform in-depth analysis to determine conformance with local, state and federal building codes and standards. Perform and review sprinkler design for new and existing buildings. Participated in commissioning of fire protection systems for large Venetian Casino and Hotel project in Macau, China. Developed and implemented Fire Stop inspection program. Provide drawing reviews for construction managers and architects. Provide code analysis for local building and fire codes. Also provide code consulting for NFPA standards and accessibility codes. Provided code consulting and design review of petro chemical plants. Develop performance based alternatives and present to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).Project management experience in laboratory fit-outs, sprinkler design, code consulting, commissioning, and hazardous materials analysis. Worked on universities, assembly, hospital, high-rise, industrial, governmental/military, and residential occupancies. LEED accredited professional with experience working with green building design teams.

Prepare engineering judgments and perform fire testing on 3M's ablative, endothermic, intumescent, and insulative fire technology. Proficient with Six Sigma tools, led a project team in developing a new process for an online competitive analysis database. Provide technical support in maintaining a fire resistive wrap that averages 30 million dollars in sales annually. Participated as primary technical fire engineer in a team consisting of chemical engineers, marketers, and manufacturing engineers developing a new fire resistive product. Nominated by the divisions Lab manager as the divisions Tech Forum Senator.

Provide technical support testing on 3M's Clean Agent Halon replacement program with NOVEC 1230. Performed internal fire testing and prepared test result reports. Responsible for major data acquisition on large-scale fire testing consisting of custom designed experiments with the use instrumentation such as thermocouples and pressure transducers.
