As the Chief Product Officer at Validic, I set the direction and plan for Validic’s portfolio of personal health data solutions. This involved driving the vision, strategy, software development roadmap, logistics services, business development, client development, pricing, and packaging of Validic’s solutions.

As the executive responsible for personal health solutions at Cerner Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and the largest health care IT company in the world, I lead a high-performing, $50 million line of business focused on driving a connected and integrated approach to health care. Our technology enables providers, patients, and their families to work together toward a common goal of better health at a lower cost. I drive the vision, strategy, software development, business development, and client relationships for Cerner's Consumer Health portfolio. This portfolio includes Cerner’s premier patient portal solution (HealtheLife), now used by over 3,000,000 patients, and our corporate wellness platform (Cerner Wellness), reaching over 12,000,000 members. Additional solutions include a personal health management website (cernerhealth.com) and a health competition website (cernerhealthwins.com). Building on my success driving faster time-to-productivity for new employees via the development of Cerner's consulting methodology in my previous role, I led the inception, development, delivery, and broad-scale adoption of Cerner's award-winning (Training Top 125, American Society of Training and Development) business social networking platform. Built on the Jive and Atlassian platforms, uCern connects over 18,000 employees, and more than 4,000 client organizations, enabling employees to better collaborate with each other and their clients, as well as connecting clients with each other. Each month, uCern members create thousands of pieces of content in uCern Connect, with people collaborating on projects, solutions, big issues in health care, and enhancement requests for Cerner solutions.

I directed the development, delivery, and broad-scale adoption of MethodM, Cerner's consulting methodology. Serving as the standard playbook for the delivery of the nearly 100 various solutions offered by Cerner, MethodM ensures each client receives the very best recommendations, configurations, and project management processes in the delivery of their world-class health care solutions.

I drove the development and execution of several corporate training programs, including a program that reduced time to competency for new consultants from twelve months to six months through a novel simulation program. This program simulated a twelve-month customer implementation project in twelve weeks, and has now been effectively delivered to hundreds of new consultants. Additionally, led the development of several web-based solutions to manage the tracking and delivery of training.

I led the training of new system engineers, as well as overview-level technical training for non-technical roles. The twelve-week System Engineer Jumpstart program educated new system engineers on the VMS and AIX operating systems, Oracle databases, several IBM technologies, large-scale Microsoft Windows deployments, and Citrix environments, along with proprietary Cerner platforms and solutions.

I was responsible for the installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Cerner Millennium systems for Cerner clients, as well as client relationship and technical project management. Technologies included VMS and AIX operating systems, Oracle databases, several IBM technologies, large-scale Microsoft Windows deployments, and Citrix environments, along with proprietary Cerner platforms and solutions.
