BiographyI was recruited to work for Kaiser Permanente in 2005 as an IT Desktop Support Technician (Contractor) during the preconception of KP HealthConnect and was later given the opportunity to work full-time in Desktop Support in 2007. In 2012, I became an IT Consultant and continue to have a passion for Information Technology, Innovation, and Consulting. On the side, my hobbies include DJing with vinyl records and playing the turntable as a musical instrument.How I Help Deliver HealthcareMy role as an IT Consultant is to establish partnerships with Medical Center Leadership and Staff to provide perspective to help them see what kind of technology is familiar, how we can consider how to harness it in the workplace in order to improve business efficiency, and to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve. I act as a liaison between Local IT and staff to provide direction and translate business requirements to help accomplish their objectives. I participate in leading projects from Innovation to Construction Remodels/Expansions of new and existing Medical Office Buildings/Facilities. Our group is part of the Care Delivery Technology Services, Southern California - Service & Delivery. I am also an active member of genKP, which is a business resource group that focuses on Innovation, Mentorship, Career Development, and Community Benefit.How I ThriveOther than thriving at work for project walks across our large campus, I am a member of a Dragon Boat club crew based in SCAL. It is one of the ultimate team sports, encompassing the mind, body, and spirit as 20 crewmates aim to paddle in unison to propel a 40-foot boat across the finish line.
