Project Manager
CurrentOversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules an prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. As Surface Enhanced Capability Assessment Program (SECAP), Project Manager oversee all aspects of Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical (HM&E) systems which consists of AFFF, Halon, SCBA’s, Drainage, Water Tight Doors, HFP, Water Mist, Oily Waste Systems, Environmental Protection Systems, Ballasting and De-Ballasting Systems, Magazine Sprinklers, as well as Deck Systems consisting of Anchoring, Mooring Towing, Boat Davits, and Lifelines. Manage Assessment Teams in San Diego, Washington, Hawaii, and Japan and provide support for assets in Bahrain. Managed the development of curriculum/training which consisted of slide presentations, and testing material for HM&E and Deck systems, covering all West Coast Surface Naval Vessels. Coordinate the assessment of all West Coast Surface Naval Vessels for HM&E and Deck systems. Identifying issues in three categories: Minor, Major, and Repair Before Operate (RBO). Oversee 23 people covering 17 different Ships systems on all West Coast Surface Navy assets. Coordinate with South West Regional Maintenance (SWRMC) and assist with providing support to various inspections teams. Assist with training inputs for all locations to ensure all personnel are qualified at various locations.
