About Brian Chan
Jia Ying Community Services Society is a charity organization serving the community since 2001. We help, heal and honour seniors and their families in the community. Together with my team, Jia Ying Active Ageing Centre is led and managed like a startup. We use design thinking to design programmes for seniors, use coaching for team conversations and development, and we constantly innovate and experiment in our collaborations with partners to deliver services to seniors and their families. We have been appointed by the Ministry of Health Singapore to be an Active Ageing Centre, supporting the national initiative - Healthier SG! As an Active Ageing Centre, we provide evidence-based active ageing programmes and social connections for seniors to age well in the community. We currently serve more than 4,000 seniors at our two centres.
