About Brian C Knapp

Brian C Knapp started his career as an office furniture designer, first for Haworth and later for Steelcase. In 2000 he left Steelcase to start Externa CGI. Since founding, Externa has developed into a premier CG animation and rendering studio. The team at Externa possess the technical expertise and unique abilities to thoroughly understand our client’s products, processes and services. This allows us to meticulously craft stories through animation, visualization and VR.Throughout the various hats Brian has worn (radio DJ, comic book artist, industrial designer, educator, creative director, animator) the common thread of storytelling has always been there. Outside of work Brian enjoys hiking with his dog, producing music and spending time with his family. In particular if any of those things can happen in the middle of the woods, that’s an added bonus.
