Responsible for the architectural design of quad play applications as well leading the delivery and implementation of key stakeholder projects according to priorities and targets set during the course of the year.

• Migration of the legacy mobile billing system to a quad play billing solution.• Replacement of the mobile provisioning GSM database platform (HLR).• Liaising with the sales, marketing, and customer care teams for the design and launch of new prepaid offers.• Design of the 112 Emergency caller location architecture and webservice (WSDL) contract used by Public Safety Answering Points to interface with the mobile operator infrastructure.

Was responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of five in the IT core services business process applications area, taking care of the systems integration in a quad play environment. Was actively involved in:• The design and roll-out of the successful Homepack product.• The design and implementation of a quad play order management system.• Coordination of the back-end service processes as well as configuration/development of mobile prepaid billing systems to launch MTV mobile.• Managing the development and roll-out of Ping (MVNE).

Serving a key role in the GO mobile billing team and responsible for the coordination of the full project software life cycle, mainly relating, but not limited to Prepaid/Postpaid billing and provisioning. Main activities included:• Coordinating the continuous developments of the go mobile multi-service provisioning system to support new business requirements and to keep up with the evolving business support systems and protocols.• Contributing in the evaluation of a new IN platform (features and Impact on current system) and potential migration of converged prepaid and postpaid billing solution. • Analysing the impact of Euro conversion on prepaid systems and the implementation/coordination of a migration solution.• Contributed to the introduction of Mobile Number Portability as mandated by the National Regulatory Authority.

• Designed and implemented a Java-based multi-platform rule-based provisioning system for the enabling of mobile services on different GSM network elements.• Designed and implemented a Java-based, real-time prepaid billing system to complement the existing Nortel-IN system and used for the rating, billing and bundling of data-centric services including SMS and MMS.• Contributed to the introduction of new electronic top up mechanisms in the market providing significant cost savings to the company compared to traditional voucher-based mechanisms. Suggested the idea of prepaid auto-topup, a first in the local market, in partnership with local financial institutions.• Designed and implemented architectures to handle SMS based customer-centric services including self-provisioning, prepaid account query and prepaid credit transfer.• Designed database structures for Mobile numbering administration and SIM handling.• Was responsible for the go mobile implementation of the m-government project, a joint collaboration between MITTS (a Maltese government owned ICT Company) and Other Local Operators.• Involved in the commissioning and acceptance testing of a number of GSM Network Elements.
