----CAREER OVERVIEW----Successful 30+ year career, focusing on Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Counter-Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED). My career progressed from an enlisted infantryman to a commissioned officer, eventually directing two-thirds of the Marine Corps operational EOD forces, consisting of 318 personnel. My experience with EOD began as a technician, performing duties incident to the location, excavation, recovery, rendering-safe, disassembly, detonating, burning or final disposal of unsafe conventional explosive ordnance, Weapons of Mass Destruction (chemical, nuclear, and biological ordnance) and IEDs that represent a threat to operations, installations, personnel, or material. In Command, I led these operations, as well as strategically planned, guided and influenced policy. My career includes highlights such as coordinating the justification and transition of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal from platoon (27 personnel) to company-sized organization (130 personnel). I work cross-functionally across teams to support additional tasks such as writing position papers, unity training and coordinating operations with foreign military units. ----EXPERTISE/KEY STRENGTHS----▪ Personnel Management ▪ Conflict Resolution ▪ Information Technology ▪ Asset Management ▪ Relationship Building ▪ Coalition Building ▪ Business Acumen ▪ Financial Management ▪ Emergency Management ▪ Explosive Ordnance ▪ Weapons Expert ▪ Incident Management ▪ Hazardous Materials ▪ Safety Management ▪ Policy Development ▪ Anti-Terrorism Expert ▪ Property Security Expert ▪ Compliance Driven ▪ Innovative Problem Solver ▪ Political Savvy ▪ Detail Oriented ▪ International Relations ▪ Program Management ▪ Advanced Negotiator ▪ Information Management ▪----RESOURCE MANAGEMENT HIGHLIGHTS----- Highest Personnel Delegation: 5,000- Highest Value Assets Managed: $23,434,430.82- Largest Operating Budget: $2,000,000.00- Largest Project Management Budget: $2,000,000.00
