Responsible for school turnaround and development after turbulent start that threatened school’s closure. Recruited and led a diverse team of educators that turned a vision of Project-Based and Social-Emotional Learning into a quality, well-respected program. Major Contributions: - Successful financial turnaround of a ~2M€ annual operating loss. - Development of an annual fund with average contributions of ~1.500€ per student - Increased student enrollment and diversity from ~80 students in year 2 to 240 students from 47 nationalities in year 7 while increasing tuition to sustainable levels.- Directed a comprehensive re-branding process that better aligned with mission and can drive future enrollment. - Building and refinement of whole-school curriculum (Gr. 1-12) that successfully incorporates progressive pedagogy into German, International, and IBDP frameworks. - Guided the school through two years of pandemic related complications and regulations, including three separate mandated transitions to and returns from remote learning. - Secured school membership in Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Caring School Network- Successful accreditation as IB World School (2019)- NEASC Accreditation Process (anticipated completion in 2023-24)
Director Of Advancement And Admissions
- Lead the advancement and admissions team in the design and implementation of all admissions and fundraising processes from the ground up, including the creation of parent and student ambassador groups, admissions criteria and testing, marketing and communications, yearly budgets and calendars, and annual goals. - Serve as a member of the Curriculum and Teaching Leadership Team, including the implementation of a new teacher evaluation process, participation in classroom evaluations and feedback, and a curriculum gap analysis and improvement plan with emphasis on standards compliance and performance. - Assist the head of school and board members in the creation of a parent fundraising association, including the recruitment and selection of founding members and research on the giving capacity of school constituents. - Serve as a member of the executive partnership & network expansion team, meeting with potential investor groups interested in founding new ISC school sites around the globe, presenting the ISC mission and vision, and designing contractual relationships. - Research possible governance structures for our growing network and present proposals to the board.- Consult on general operational systems improvements as needed by Head of School.
