This includes all subcontracted work such as fabricated products, landscaping, dewatering, etc. Overall responsibility for all functions within the Bids Department, Contracts Department, and Equipment Department. Negotiate all contracts and equipment purchases for the company. This includes not only material and service pricing, but also additional aspects such as payment terms, indemnification and insurance requirements. Create and documents SOP for Bids, Contracts and Equipment departments to ensure that proper process are documented and being implemented correctly. Having documented processes in place also greatly reduced the time required to train new hires. Implemented a process for Buyout Meetings to occur every two weeks for each active project. This was done to ensure that material was being ordered as needed, delivery would support the required production schedule, submittals were approved and in place as required, and the purchasing department was aligned with the needs of the field/production personnel. This process reduced overpaying for expedited items by an estimated $500,000 the first year implemented. Required to read construction blueprints and specifications to ensure that RFQs and purchase orders are sourced correctly and meet the specifications required for proper material performance.

Oversaw all transportation, purchasing functions, logistics, and fleet management for over 4,000 pieces of equipment throughout four business units conducting business across 34 states. Negotiated all national contracts with suppliers with focus on obtaining best total cost of ownership by leveraging company’s entire spend.
