I’ve been immersed in technology for as long as I can remember. In 1978, when Texas Instruments introduced the first 16-bit processor in the TI-99/4, I was just a year old, growing up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where my father served as president of the Net-99ers—the largest computer users group on Earth at the time. Surrounded by innovation, I became one of the first digital natives, building my foundation in technology from a young age.Over the past 40 years, I’ve specialized in a wide range of areas, including web development, network engineering, information security, and instructional systems design. I’ve also had the opportunity to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) internationally, developing specialized curricula that blended technology and education. These experiences have shaped my holistic understanding of both the technical and human sides of problem-solving.After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, I returned to school, earning my Associate's Degree in Art and several certificates in Cisco Support, Network Engineering, Convergence Technology, and more. I went on to complete my Bachelor’s of Applied Arts and Sciences in Advanced Technology and Performance Improvement from the University of North Texas, graduating with a 3.7 GPA and recognition in multiple honor societies. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Learning Technologies, with a focus on Distance, Distributed, and Virtual Learning. As I look ahead to the next chapter of my journey, I’m excited to merge my technical expertise with my evolving passions for captive insurance, financial planning, and real estate investing. I believe in helping people secure their futures—whether through technology solutions, sound financial strategies, or smart real estate investments. My diverse background, from IT consulting to teaching and property management, has equipped me with the skills and perspective needed to make a meaningful impact in these fields. At 50, I see every new venture as an opportunity to learn and grow, and I approach my work with humility and a deep desire to help others. Whether you're looking for guidance in technology, insurance, financial planning, or real estate, I’m always open to conversations about how we can work together.Feel free to connect with me here on LinkedIn or reach out directly. Let’s collaborate and build something impactful together.
