Formerly Sensus MI

Role focusing on HVAC-R with McQuay European Middle East and Africa responsibilities including 10 legal entities. The position was based out of Italy reporting to the McQuay global VP of sales & marketing. Board of Director positions held with the Greece and India entities. During a period of recession, the McQuay EMEA team turned a loss making region profitable and significantly reduced debt. An Emphasis was placed on adding value with systems and service rather than focusing only on equipment sales. This experience showed Brian how the majority of facilities and services are very inefficient. The wide adoption of the internet and increasing access to building systems and equipment information led Brian to start Sensus MI to focus on providing cost effective continuous optimization for facilities.

Managed ~15 global sales and distribution JVs for the HVAC, Refrigeration, service, and American Air Filtration businesses representing over $110m in sales and $22m invested. Focused on forming new ventures that would quickly increase sales in a territory, acquiring well performing ventures, or divesting under performing entities. Brian managed all equity transactions, loans, operations reporting, royalties, quarterly board meetings, and strategic planning. All JV administrative staff indirectly reported through Brian.

Employed by Delta Faucet as an operational financial analyst and then promoted to International controller where he lived in the Philippines assisting in the startup of Delta’s Asia sales operations. Brian was then the sole expat living in China responsible for the establishment of the first wholly owned green field manufacturing and distribution facility in Nancun province. All business startup activities were performed from government approvals, site selection, construction, hiring personnel, managing capital expenditure, banking and legal relationships, establishing accounting, distribution, and IT systems.
