I serve as an advisor and/or fractional CTO at startups and early stage companies. I also work with investors to perform technical due diligence for potential funding rounds. I tend to work predominately with SaaS-ish healthcare companies due to my extensive background in the industry.

During my short time at Syntellis, I concentrated on providing support for Stratasan's integration post-acquisition.

During my eleven years at Stratasan I retained the CTO title but my job function was never the same for long. As the technical co-founder, I went from solo engineer to engineering lead to engineering manager to lead of leads. My responsibilities covered engineering, IT, security and compliance, and product management. As a member of the senior leadership team, I took part in our quarterly strategic planning meetings, met with the board and investors. Prior to our exit we had about 100 employees, the bulk of which were in engineering and product management. We were acquired by Syntellis Performance Solutions in 2022.I was very much involved in the day-to-day business, the product roadmap, security compliance (we were SOC 2 Type 2 certified), vendor negotiations, investor relations, and more.Our company was characterized by a higher than average employee retention with an average of 30% year over year growth over a decade.

While doing business as "Realm3," I worked as a consultant for companies in NYC, Boulder, SFO, and elsewhere. Some projects I completed included revamping MissUniverse.com from a static HTML site to an interactive social destination (with Ultra16), building a Secret Santa Facebook application for Best Buy (with Crispin, Porter + Bogusky) and a design competition and web-based video series for MTV called the Engine Room. I also worked alongside several NYC startups to build out MVPs that they could then take to investors and ultimately get funding to start companies.

Developed front-end for a the "Q Engine," a technology developed at Y-12 National Security Complex in Tennessee, used to classify nuclear information. Our application of the engine was helping users to understand complex Medicare rules.Managed a complete overhaul of an e-commerce system designed to help doctors get in touch with suppliers of durable medical equipment, navigate complex (and ever-changing) Medicare regulations, and manage patient records. This became the company's flagship software and garnered the attention of national companies.With the aid of a junior developer, I developed a CRM system for the durable medical equipment industry.

Daitech was a consulting practice in Athens, Tennessee. Developed web-based data management tools for small to medium sized businesses. For example, I built a custom platform for an real estate appraisal company to manage their fleet of appraisers.

Developed EMR systems for general practices and pathology labs.
