As a former US National Team rower and coach turned full-stack software engineer, I bring discipline, determination, and teamwork to everything I do. I have a proven track record of leadership and success throughout my career, and I'm excited to use my experience and skills to solve big problems well. I look forward to working with smart and motivated individuals to maximize team performance.I am skilled in creating efficient and scalable back end architecture, as well as fast and functional front end design. I enjoy building performance oriented code, as well as returning to those projects, rooting out the technical debt, and making them work better than before. On the back end, I'm most fluent in .NET and Azure, but have also used AWS to host scalable back end architecture, using express server clusters to effectively query databases with billions of data points. On the front end, I have experience building production grade clients, using methods such as advanced photo compression and lazy loading to provide a great visual experience while maximizing performance. On the personal front, I have backpacked Europe, followed the Tour de France, ridden my motorcycle first across the United States, then from Oakland to Deadhorse, Alaska and back, and rebuilt two motorcycles. In my previous career, my crews won five National Championships, a silver medal at the World Championships, and multiple Head of the Charles. Before coaching I was a four-time US National Team rower, including winning a silver medal at the U-23 World Championships. I'm an avid camper, sailor and skier, and in my free time enjoy unstructured adventuring as a change from a hard week of work.
