Scientific Diver:Used SCUBA skills to observe and report on safety and structural integrity of 150,000 gallon penguin exhibit. Suggested and implemented repairs to extend the life of the exhibit. Collaborated with dive tender, aquarists, and facilities personnel to clean and maintain penguin exhibit area while diving. Assisted as needed with cleaning dives in 200,000 gallon Giant Ocean Tank. Currently Senior VolunteerPenguin Exhibit & Bird Recovery Room: Fed, observed, and recorded daily condition of over 80 adult and juvenile penguins. Ensured penguin health through daily cleaning of the 150,000 gallon exhibit. Administered medications and rehabilitated injured penguins. Educated public about penguin biology and conservation. Lead weekly shore dives for customer and guest divers. Teach SCUBA refresher courses at local pool.
