Reterro has developed and patented proprietary technology and equipment to enable cost-effective, high throughput treatment of soils contaminated with a variety of toxic substances, including chlorinated solvents, volatile organic solvents, petroleum products and crude oil. Contaminants of these types are found at thousands of sites across the USA in volumes ranging from a few hundred tons to millions of tons, and contamination levels ranging from a few parts per million to several thousand parts per million.Reterro designs, builds, and deploys its own proprietary equipment for flameless, indirect-fired, batch ex-situ evaporative desorption of contaminated soils. Reterro dispatches its mobile equipment to job sites where its team of operators excavate, decontaminate, and restore the soil. Flameless evaporative desorption is safer than flame-fired methods and avoids the production of harmful nitrous and sulfur oxides, allowing it to be operated in populated settings where other techniques cannot. The dry air employed in Reterro evaporative desorption more effectively treats fine-grained clays and can treat heavy hydrocarbons that do not readily evaporate.
