14 years in Royal Australian Navy – reaching the rank of Petty Officer. From there, I moved to SERCO in the Maritime sector – taking on the responsibilities of training – across geographical locations, managing the delivery of training to new entry officers, and assisting trainees on site. I progressed in my management career in the private sector, becoming a supervisor/operations manager within Serco Defence. I enjoy passing on my knowledge while assisting in developing future mariners within the maritime sector. This includes stressing the importance of safety on and around the maritime environment which encompasses the vessel Master, the vessel and environment which they operate.I maintain my reputation for being a highly motivated, hard-working and result driven employee that is dedicated to any position that I fulfil and includes being a mentor for my colleagues by developing their leadership and divisional staff skills. I strive to be a highly effective manager, capable of dealing with complicated issues whilst also being aware of my responsibilities. I work hard to achieve outstanding results in all that I undertake and will always attempt any challenges for myself.
