Developed a partnership with the SVP of Operations to ensure all monthly deadlines, as set by the corporate office, were met with regards to our 9-day close. This includes analysis and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, analysis of P&L accounts, preparation and entry of journal entries, managing credit card and fuel card activity, reconciling bank accounts, managing the company’s capital assets, preparing the WIP schedule and producing month-end financial reports. In addition, I am the leader of two direct reports; Payroll Administrator and Accounts Payable Clerk.

I was in charge of developing and leading the accounting group for this traffic safety contractor and construction equipment provider while providing all HR and Payroll functions personally. I worked closely with the CFO on all financial reporting and the President on all corporate functions.The company was in a transitioning period when I was brought on board as part of a team to bring about a change in leadership and help with difficulties faced in previous years.I was able to help lead various changes to our accounting systems, HR and payroll systems, and refocused the accounting group's support toward all aspects of the company working directly with the management group.

Supervision of administrative office functions while assisting Regional Controller to ensure efficient, cost effective and professional operation of the administration department. Daily activities include creating and posting journal entries, reviewing financial reports, subcontract administration, analyzing reports for our material plants, and general accounting duties.

Prepare and process payroll for over 200 employees, work with managers on account executive's commissions, knowledge and application of payroll laws.
