CurrentBrian is an attorney, small business owner and consultant with over 20 years experience in a variety of executive level corporate positions, including, but not limited to, In-House Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Accounting & Human Resources, Treasurer, Controller, Finance & Insurance Manager, Operations & Safety Manager, and Litigation Manager. Brian has represented various companies and clients in audits and other investigations performed by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network for the U.S. Department of Treasury, the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the Office of the Inspector General for the Department of Health & Human Services, the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Florida Department of Revenue, and the Florida Division of Workers Compensation, among others. He has also represented a client before the Tampa City Council with regards to a zoning matter. Brian advises clients on business decisions, from creation to dissolution. He has provided guidance on hiring decisions, interviewing techniques and employee training; developed detailed organizational charts; created corporate structure – departments, positions, duties and responsibilities; designed company handbooks, training manuals, policies and procedures; assisted in the purchase, integration and implementation of various accounting, CRM and industry specific operations software packages; managed payroll, employee benefit programs, and employment tax filings; performed bank and other balance sheet reconciliations; prepared detailed financial statements and customized reports; and researched business and industry norms and best practices to help clients reach optimal efficiency in their business operations while remaining compliant with all relevant local, state and federal ordinances, laws and statutes
