About Brian E Albee, Phd.
I am a PhD Chemist with a specialty in nanomaterials fabrication and spectroscopic imaging applications. My primary focus has primarily been in the development, application, and commercialization of various chemical imaging methods, nano sensors, and nanofabrication methods largely geared towards Raman based technologies, advanced SERS methods, and optical magnetism in the visible/NIR regime. I began my journey in the startup world after grad school, working on developing next-generation tools and solutions for STEM classrooms with respect to interactive exams for labs and classroom settings from K-12 to universities, as well as digital media tech. Since then, I have also worked towards launching nanotech startups in the food and beverage, Brain computer interface (BCI), and smart home technology space, contributing to a number of small businesses to date focused on bringing next-generation nanotech from the lab into the consumer market.My latest adventures have also found me managing the lab facilities of LA BioSpace, where I was focused on providing lab spaces, equipment, and business development opportunities to emerging Biotech startups in the LA area.
