During my 18 years with The Four Freshmen, I challenged and changed several of the group’s long-standing, outdated business practices. I led our evolution into a more efficient, agile and profitable (albeit still small) touring outfit.Although the group had been in business for 50 years before I joined, I handled every decision as though we were a lean startup. Our quality of life, quality of work, and income improved every year.• Designed and maintained the group’s website, including web store, mailing list, and tour schedule.• Handled all travel logistics (flights, hotels, cars, etc), saving the group thousands each year while maximizing elite status for members. First Class seats = happy band members.• Started and managed our own record company, taking over production, mixing, graphic design, replication and digital distribution of five full length albums. Significantly increased members’ take-home income from record sales.
