- Supported the Skill Predict big data project, an in-house tool for delivering consumable data science and machine learning insights to Adecco's recruitment teams- Developed Compass frontend in React and TypeScript, including core assignment list feature, as well as sign-up, user config, and feedback submission flow components that incorporated fluid CSS animations; This culminated in the on-time launch of Compass- On the Compass backend, troubleshooted and significantly improved performance of algorithmic data generation query over tens of millions of rows in PostgreSQL, drastically reducing client wait times- Plann-ed and programmed GeoPipeline, a data-processing algorithm written in Scala and Spark for fetching and matching company geographical data to user parameters and operational requirements, providing geographically relevant results to the user- Wrote data ingestion scripts in Python and deployed via Azure Data Factory, successfully ingesting six million new candidates from another Adecco regional team into the TalentSource data lake- Advocated and delivered knowledge-sharing slides about data generation internals, spreading consensus in the team. Our goal for some time was to compliment our live performances with visuals. Once I realized what MaxMSP made possible, I spearheaded the project, first by teaching myself how to use the tool. Later, with little time to prepare for an upcoming gig, my bandmates and I collaborated on creating the video content to be played back, and devised a plan for the physical interface. Finally, I coded the controller program my brother eventually used to "steer" the visuals (while he also played bass!). It was an epic project!Simple video playback was not possible because our band performed without a metronome or any other metered playback. Thus it was necessary to dynamically control starting and stopping points and transitions fluidly; MaxMSP gave me the tools to set up a precise control flow that would be resistant to error and easy to correct if my brother made a mistake. Working with this software introduced me to programs reading inputs, handling conditionals, and general control flow. We used the video for 5 performances in 2016.
