Oracle Primavera P6 and MS Project scheduling for projects up to $20 million across seven product lines. Occasionally filled in as scheduler for other offices within Wood Group, updating existing EPC schedules and creating new proposal schedules for the Facilities and the Power & Industrial groups. Also filled in as purchaser, procured custom services and off-the-shelf components for several projects; international logistics management for one project.

Primavera P6 scheduling, and continuing to produce the company's operation manuals and construction manuals.Prepared for the role by managing a few $0.5M to $2M projects for several months. This drew on my experience with TNT listed below, and included all the scheduling, progress reporting and invoicing for these projects.

Was responsible for the company's operation and maintenance manuals, for producing new content for www.tntinc.com including online videos, and for organizing manufacturers' quality control documents and turning them over to clients.Other contributions to EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) projects included: writing project execution plans, construction manuals and progress reports for clients, preparing invoices for clients and approving invoices from suppliers, and issuing document control transmittals.Business development work included maintaining TNT's website, writing press releases, publishing magazine articles about TNT's work, and designing display ads.Below are major projects I worked on for TNT in this role.

Secured Eurasian Customs Union (EAC) Harmonized System (HS) classification decisions from Russian customs authorities per the relevant customs union technical regulations. Broke down each piece of equipment into individual components and provided a description of the function of each component for the freight forwarder to translate into Russian and submit on our behalf for each conveyor individually. Then wrote the stacking plan and operation manual (900 pages total).

2 months at a steel fabrication shop in Mexico, factory visits to inspect production of pulleys, idlers and concrete sleepers for TNT's MDR (Manufacturer's Data Report). Produced the MDR and operation and maintenance manuals.

This was TNT's largest project to date. For the first time, all types of client deliverables had to pass through client review (often requiring multiple revisions) before final acceptance was given. I organized quality control documents from dozens of suppliers into a 42,000 page MDR and revised it several times before obtaining final acceptance by the client. Produced the operation and maintenance manuals (450 and 6,500 pages), and revised each multiple times to obtain final acceptance.

Took over managing the project at about 20% complete. Thereafter, performed all client reporting and invoicing, all document control, wrote construction and operation manuals, updated existing maintenance manual, updated French and English title blocks on all drawings using AutoCAD; completed all remaining procurement, expediting, and packing lists for export; managed the fabrication of remaining steel structures in Thailand (including export to Niger) from emailed progress reports.Delivered project nearly 20% under budget.Client reported no problems while assembling and constructing the conveyors at the mine.

Procured mechanical and electrical components, project tracking and expediting, created export documentation, and maintained action item lists incorporating office-based and site-based work; revised operation and maintenance manuals.

10 months at the construction site. Site-based document control; accompanied client on weekly progress walkthroughs, wrote TNT's weekly progress reports; completed the partly finished operation manual.

Office-based and field-based roles supporting large ($100M-$500M) engineering and construction projects in the mining industry, including: project scheduling, writing user guides, designing progress and cost reports, cost estimating, and writing proposals.Below are major projects I worked on for the Mining division of AMEC Engineering & Construction.

Helped implement Unifier for Freeport-McMoRan. Wrote the Business Process help files, interviewed users with two engineering firms working on Freeport’s projects, and reported on its usage, problems encountered, and assisted with training classes. Designed performance, cost, and procurement reports in Unifier for senior management.Wrote a major portion of Kinross Gold’s Unifier user manual, covering basic and advanced navigation and settings, including new features in Unifier 9.1 and explanations of how data is organized by Kinross in Unifier. Designed the initial cost, procurement, invoicing, receiving, and progress reports in Unifier for Kinross.

8 months at the construction site. Project scheduling using Microsoft Project, led contractor update meetings; led a 3-person team to complete the turnover package that filled 75 binders.

Email customer service for credit cards, and phone customer service for the Bill Pay tab of the bank's website.Diagnosed and solved problems using the online Bill Pay and e-Bills system, such as access issues and system errors, performed payment research and email-based credit card customer service. Often made final determinations of whether a Bank Error had occurred; and adjusted cardholders’ credit histories and interest rates accordingly.

Began as a Customer Relations News Assistant covering the phones for the main newsroom in downtown Phoenix. In Sept. 2002 I moved to the Scottsdale bureau to help launch an expanded community section by publishing information about classroom activities submitted each week by area schools.The deadline work in Scottsdale involved photography, interviewing, writing and editing to improve sources' news contributions. For four school years I emailed more than 200 contacts at 105 schools each week and published the submitted items as the Scottsdale section’s six-day-per-week 'Every School Every Week' column. To ensure fairness among all public, private and charter schools, I assembled the column using items in the order they were received until the available space had been used, then published these by school name (A-Z order). I also covered school events (e.g. graduations, guest speakers, student productions) and contributed stand-alone photos and occasional stories to the section's Education page.During the first year (in the main newsroom), I had imported newswire stories for the paper’s website, azcentral.com; typed stories relayed by phone for reporters covering a major forest fire; assembled 'Old Favorites' event listings at major venues; forwarded weather forecasts to subscribers, distributed press releases to reporters and retrieved past articles for readers.Both positions were part-time. In 2003, I enrolled at University of Phoenix to complete my bachelor's degree.
