I have spent the last 28+ years managing both institutional and high net worth portfolios, forging a satisfying career in the investment industry. I consider myself fortunate to do what I love; invest capital that has directly impacted the clients I serve.At Arthur Anderson I spent my time working with high net worth individuals, managing tax-efficient portfolios while working closely with estate planners and tax advisors to maximize generational wealth. As an Investment Analyst and Research Manager at Asset Consulting Group and Bank of America I was able to develop my investment acumen further; this includes obtaining the CFA and Masters in Finance while conducting/leading extensive manager due diligence in all asset classes.In 2005 I joined Colonial Consulting, serving as Investment Advisor/Portfolio Manager to multiple Foundations and Endowments ranging between $5M and $2B in AUM. While maintaining portfolio advisor responsibilities I also took over Director of Research responsibilities in 2013 and for the next seven years led our research efforts, managed the team of analysts and built policies and procedures that are in place today.Today I serve as the Director of Investments at The John Templeton Foundation, an organization I've admired for many years from the outside and now have the privilege to work for. I'm blessed with the opportunity to oversee one of the largest private foundations in the US at nearly $4B. Raised in the Midwest I value hard work, perseverance and humility. I'm an active listener who evaluates and carefully processes information to find the best solution. Clients, peers and colleagues know that I consider all sides of an issue or discussion before offering rational and thoughtful advice, decisions or opinionsPersonally, I enjoy reading, skiing, routine exercise and an occasional round of golf, but more than anything, in my downtime I enjoy spending it with my family.
