US representative in planning and exercise events with NATO members and other partners.Accomplishments:• Charged with leading the collaborative efforts among multiple organizations to obtain the best ballistic missile defense strategy options by creating integrated planning teams. All objectives were delivered ahead of schedule with sound and actionable recommendations. • Recognized as a ballistic missile defense expert; represented the European Command’s equities at planning conferences in the Arabian Gulf, at Central Command and at the Northern Command. Assessed the capabilities and limitations of ballistic missile technology and its ability to deliver accurate results across two continents. All technologies to include communications systems and weapons systems were analyzed and assessed for best possible solutions. Strategies developed led to the deployment of four ballistic missile defense ships to Spain in 2011. • Brokered a Memorandum of Agreement between the European Command the Central Command for effective employment of missile defense radar systems establishing sound theater security policies in the Middle East.

For three years, ensured all aspects of the AEGIS system were combat ready including all computer and communications equipment, radar, and weapons control systems.Accomplishments:• Lead the ship through its once in every five years’ material and engineering systems inspection. Set the tone, conducted the inspections, tracked the milestones, measured the results, prepared schedules, aligned resources, sought outside assistance, conducted multiple rehearsals and qualified numerous personnel in the operations of weapons and engineering systems. All efforts resulted in a rare passing grade for ships of that class in 2007.
