• Helpdesk for 350 users globally, including the UK, Oman, Dubai, Ghana, Kenya, Singapore, Hong Kong, and many others.• Remote support using logmeinrescue and vnc• Supporting users of all levels, from warehouse staff through to board members• Troubleshooting and resolving problems with operating systems, hardware and Microsoft Office applications as well as many bespoke applications.• Diagnosing server issues, both with terminal services and back end servers.• Performing server reboots and service restarts where necessary with physical machines and virtual machines via VMware virtual centre.• Basic user maintenance in Active Directory• Support of the creative agency Albert, who are operating a network comprising OSX and Windows machines. I provide help with problems relating to setting up printers, networking and installation of software.The company uses Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Exchange 2008R2 and Office 2007/10, although notebooks are now being standardised on Windows 7 64-bit. There has also been some recent introduction of Macs onto the network, which I have been involved in supporting.There is also an increasing amount of hardware component replacement and configuration. At the beginning of 2010 I was involved in the planning and deployment of Microsoft Office 2007 along with a global rebranding campaign. This was rolled out to countries all over the world including Oman, Singapore, Hong Kong, Ghana, Kenya, Dubai, India and others, each of which has its own individual challenges. This was performed using VNC in the UK and logmeinrescue for the overseas offices, and also involved some out of hours work.
