About Brian Mcginty
With over a decade of teaching and coaching experience, I am a passionate and dedicated educator and mentor. As the head swim coach at Frisco ISD, I lead a team of coaches and students to achieve excellence in swimming and academics. I also teach a combination course of AP Languages and Composition with AP US History for gifted 11th graders. I use my MA in History to create engaging and relevant lessons that foster critical thinking and curiosity. Some of the skills that I have developed and applied in my roles are growth-oriented, reliability, and collaboration. I enjoy working with diverse and talented students and colleagues, and I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment for everyone. My mission is to inspire and empower my students and athletes to pursue their goals and passions, and to help them grow as individuals and as a community.
