A lifelong performing artist and student of political philosophy committed to public service by offering opportunities to working artists while providing the community with positive civic engagement. Brian Garth is a fourth-generation resident of Las Vegas, a musician, a producer, a recording engineer, a competent solderer, one of those people who folds their laundry right out of the dryer, an incredible cook, a teacher, an employee of the city that raised him, and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He holds a degree in Political Science with a minor in History, and an M.Ed. in curriculum design. He has a passion for ancient Greek texts, history and language, and requires a spotless kitchen & bathroom, no exceptions. He likes Islay scotch because it tastes like a Band-aid on a bike tire. In his spare time, he enjoys spy and espionage films, science fiction, and contemplative dramas. His favorite Miles Davis album is In a Silent Way, and his favorite book is Plato’s Republic. He likes chocolate.
