Maplewood serves approximately 1,500 seniors in 17 custom-designed communities in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, New Jersey, New York City and Washington, DC. We have launched a new luxury brand (Inspīr) and built an ultra modern 24-story high rise assisted living & memory care community for 250 residents on the Upper East Side of Manhattan (Inspīr Carnegie Hill) and we're opening our second Inspīr community in Washington DC in early 2025.

Led implementation of organizational development, continuous improvement, and transformation initiatives to strengthen and expand CCA’s next-generation care delivery and care management model in the region. Also provided direct clinical care, including prescribing, in the context of CCA's innovative and fully-integrated team-based model of care. At the time, Commonwealth Care Alliance Clinical Group West was comprised of over 200 physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, medical assistants, and other clinical and administrative support staff. Clinical teams provided integrated home-based primary care, mental health care and care management services to over 6,000 complex patients across Western Mass for the health plan. Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) Is a 4.5 Star Rated not-for-profit prepaid care delivery system for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries with complex medical, behavioral health and social needs. CCA uses Medicare/Medicaid risk-adjusted premiums to re-imagine and redesign care for members. CCA provides coverage from early intervention to urgent care to long-term services and supports, creating savings from reduced hospitalizations and institutional care.

CareNetworks, a digital agency/consultancy, helped health care, senior living, home care and LTC companies around the country modernize and socialize their online presence using emerging web, mobile and social technologies.

I started Horizon with the mission of providing psychiatric house calls to Connecticut's vulnerable elderly population. Over the course of 2 years, Horizon evolved into a thriving practice of nurse practitioners, physicians, and psychologists providing full-spectrum psychiatric services to assisted living communities, home health agencies, and skilled nursing facilities throughout Connecticut. Horizon was acquired by Masonicare in 2007.

In December of 1999, I sold my half of the company to my partner and founded Horizon Psychiatric Group. MetroHealth was later sold to a large home care company in Connecticut.
