I am a skilled people manager with experience creating and launching a global live instruction platform, including creating and developing the class curriculum, training and mentoring a team of nearly a dozen remote educators, and instilling company values such as accessibility, communication, and passion in support of DEIB and accessibility goals to foster an environment of growth and support for both employees and students.I began my career working at Kaplan as a GRE and SAT Teacher & Tutor, where I taught up to 25 students per class and got a great feel for what it takes to handle every student’s individualized needs while managing comprehensive test preparation. A couple of years later, I got the opportunity to see another side of the equation when I read and scored the very same tests as a SAT/GRE Rater with the ETS. Equipped with an even better sense of the skills and knowledge my students would need, I joined the test preparation company Magoosh, first as a remote tutor, and later assuming the role of Live Instruction Team Lead. This position allowed me to take on a leadership role in managing a team of educators to help over 3000 students each month achieve their goals. I have regularly created and implemented curricula and other course materials, prepared special content for live classes, and ensured organizational efficiency across all operations. I’m especially proud of all the work I do, not only to benefit students, but also to empower my team members and allow them all to shine. It’s important to me that there be a diverse and varied learning environment that can cater to people from various backgrounds.
