Member of three-person skunk-works initiative (with CEO and Director of Research) to develop new products and services related to Human Due Diligence and effective investment of human capital in corporate change initiatives. Sale and delivery of $2.5M in change management consulting and training including: prospect identification and cultivation; proposal development; contract negotiations; and project management.

Founder and Executive Director of former national organization committed to redefining America’s response to AIDS. Recruited Board of Directors; developed mission statement, business case, and strategic direction; incorporated as 501(c)3 organization in New York State. Through intensive national networking, established support infrastructure including: Strategy Advisory Group, AIDS Advisory Group, and Technology Advisory Group (for development of virtual communities and strategy modeling support). Conducted foundation research; developed grant proposals. Hosted online forums on America Living With AIDS. Published monthly newsletter.

Responsibilities included financial, operational, and human resource functions of $4.5M, 90 employee non-profit providing permanent housing and support services to homeless people with AIDS. Established infrastructure to support rapid growth and financial accountability. Worked with Board of Directors and senior leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives. Implemented appropriate fiscal controls, a new fund accounting system, program-based budgeting and reporting, and local area network technology. Provided budget reporting, financial analyses, and forecasts to the Board of Directors. Oversaw all budgets, reimbursement submissions, and financial tracking for government contracts. Primary responsibility for re-location of headquarters. Negotiated banking arrangements, including line of credit. Responsible for external audits, vendor contracts, insurance, employee payroll, and benefits.

As Director of Annual Giving, maintained steady-state budget while increasing private gift support by 185% in three years through innovative use of technology, re-design of solicitation processes, and re-allocation of budgeted funds. As Assistant to the Vice President for Finance and Operations, project manager for the analysis and planning of organizational transformation, including restructuring and business process reengineering across the University system.
